We celebrate the life and death of our departed loved ones with special foods, we have special days dedicated to expressing love and honor to those important to us and we generally learn some culture from which we can draw lessons for our lives. In the Orthodox Church, we do not observe our festivals in a particularly manner. They are a time to "celebrate" our faith. We do not talk about the Food of Life and we do not sing or chant song. What this means is that the Church, in her devotion to God and the faith we have been given by God, does not address the body as intimately as the Church in the West. We do not celebrate the Passover and Chrismation in the same manner we celebrate baptism, communion, a bachelors Holy Communion and the Annulment of a marriage. Why is this? The Christian understanding of life is a very simple one. Not a solution, but I tend to drop my air pressure down to 110 and ride with it a bit lower I can usually get a decent breeze. I had to get a permit for my bike, which i have to be riding on the sidewalk and bike lanes, so at first I was not riding my bike at all because the permit process is a pain to me. However, if I find myself feeling the same way again, I'll just give it up, or start running more.
